Job summary

Emergency Nurses Association in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Nurse Scientist to advance evidence-based practice and lead high-impact research initiatives within the organization.

The role is full-time with a flexible hybrid schedule (office two days a week, home three days). The targeted salary range is $95k–$115k annually, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with immediate vesting, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• A PhD, DNP, or equivalent doctorate in Nursing Science or closely related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of critical care nursing experience with research coordination.
• Demonstrated experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
• Proven record of published research and participation in scientific forums or conferences.
• Experience in grant proposal development and external funding.
• Experience with implementation science or implementation research.
• Experience conducting multi-site and international research collaborations.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor emerging researchers.

Responsibilities

• Identify trends and opportunities in emergency nursing research.
• Coordinate high-impact research initiatives to improve clinical practice.
• Design, implement, and evaluate research projects with methodological rigor and ethics.
• Contribute to strategic planning aligning research with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to translate research into practice resources.
