Qualifications

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS & PALS/ENPC certification.
• Experienced ED nurses must have upon hire.
• Non-experienced ED nurses must obtain within 6 months from date of hire.
• TNCC within 6 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily patient care.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provides patient/family teaching and health promotion.
• Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care activities with inter-professional team.
• Maintains safety and continuity of care; uses bedside shift report and hand-off tools.
