CommonSpirit Health’s Dignity Health - St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Services. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment, documenting thoroughly while mentoring staff and maintaining safety compliance.

In this role you will lead care from admission to discharge, apply clinical skills, and engage in continuous professional development to advance the department and your career.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
• Active California RN license.
• BLS certification – American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association.
• PALS certification – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, functional, high risk and discharge needs of the patient and family.
• Completes and documents initial assessment/care within required time frames.
• Performs reassessments/care at intervals as required or appropriate to the patient's specific needs.
• Ensures physical assessment/care includes all major body systems.
• Ensures spiritual assessment/care includes actual/expressed needs.
• Incorporates cultural and ethnic factors into assessment/care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Services, you will help individuals and families receive holistic, effective, and appropriate care in a safe and confidential environment so they can achieve optimal health outcomes from admission to discharge.
Every day you will assess patients, plan, implement, and evaluate their care, utilizing your clinical skills and technology. You will be expected to document thoroughly, accept leadership direction, mentor new staff, engage in continuous self-development, and maintain a safe patient environment while adhering to policies and procedures.

$5,000 Sign on for eligible new hires with at least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3-5 years.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - American Heart Association

Preferred

• Bachelors in health related field
• ED experience
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification
