Job summary

UPMC Somerset is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. The department provides 24/7 emergency care with board-certified physicians and ACLS/PALS certified nursing staff.

Physician will treat patients in the ER, assess varying acuity and determine appropriate treatment, and work closely with the emergency team. This is a regular full-time position with all shifts and a strong emphasis on physician wellness.

Qualifications

• Emergency Medicine board certification or eligibility.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.

• Evaluate a variety of acuity, think and act quickly to make a tentative diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Work as part of a team with providers and other members of the emergency staff

UPMC Somerset is currently seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team!

The Department of Emergency Medicine provides emergency care by a trained, board-certified emergency physician 24 hours a day. This space is staffed with critical care trained; ACLS and PALS certified nursing staff.

Emergency care at these facilities includes the immediate treatment of any medical or surgical emergency, the initiation of life-saving procedures in all types of emergency situations and the provision of emergency care for chronic medical conditions and minor illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages.
