Job summary

US Acute Care Solutions seeks a Research Director to lead the department's scholarly mission, mentor trainees, and expand research and extramural funding. Primary reporting to the Emergency Medicine Program Director, this role guides clinical investigators and ensures high-quality scholarship.

The position emphasizes leadership, program expansion, and collaboration with faculty and residents to advance patient-centered research in emergency medicine across the network.

Qualifications

• EM residency trained and ABEM/AOBEM certified.
• Fellowship or master's degree in clinical research required.
• Approximately 5 years of clinical research experience preferred.
• Active role in clinical medicine through direct patient care.
• ACGME or accrediting body requirements as applicable.

Career Details

The Research Director will report directly to the Emergency Medicine Program Director and will provide leadership and oversight of the research mission for the Department. This involves overseeing the scholarly and research programs for faculty, fellows, residents, and students. The role of this leader will be to not only be a productive researcher, but to mentor faculty and trainees to enhance the culture of research and scholarship in this Department. The Director will also be charged with expansion of the Department’s investigative research and extramural funding portfolios.
