Job summary

Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department physician to deliver high-quality care within the Medical Service. The role involves assessing, diagnosing and stabilizing patients in a dynamic ED setting at the Huntington campus.

The position features rotating 10- and 12-hour shifts with limited night burden, shared weekend coverage, CME support, and comprehensive federal benefits. Board-certified providers with VA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).
• Experience with POCUS, procedural sedation, airway management and advanced emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients in the Emergency Department.
• Stabilize patients and determine if additional care is needed.
• Perform or assist in related emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with the Emergency Medicine team at Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center.
