Job summary

Avera St Luke's Hospital in Sioux Center, IA seeks a qualified physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, and care within a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes clinical procedures, patient education, and collaboration with care teams to ensure quality outcomes. Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays are required, with emphasis on patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the service state with board certification or eligibility.
• Active DEA license required for practice.
• Experience within multidisciplinary teams encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per protocol and standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interprets diagnostic information and plans patient care.
• Maintains patient records and ensures referrals as appropriate.

Education

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible and board certified or board eligible

Federal Drug Enforcement Admin - US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Admin State and federal DEA license based on state of practice
