Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, timely care to all patients presenting to the emergency department


• Collaborate with APPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive coverage


• Work scheduled shifts as assigned, including day, evening, and overnight hours


• Participate in on-site hospital orientation and complete required onboarding modules


• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic EMR or complete required training


• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital policies


• Participate in required training, including OB Hypertension and Postpartum Hemorrhage education


• Adhere to all credentialing and health screening requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine


• Board certification or eligibility through ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM (alternative boards not accepted)


• For ABFM physicians: Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience at facilities with annual ED volumes of 10,000+


• Current ATLS and ACLS certifications required for non-EM-boarded physicians


• EM-boarded physicians must have completed initial ATLS; ongoing certification not required


• Ability to work at multiple locations within the same health system


• Proficiency or willingness to train in Epic EMR


• Completion of on-site orientation, Genesis modules, and required fit testing


• Completion of OB Hypertension and Postpartum Hemorrhage training via UpToDate


• Current immunizations and health clearances (Hepatitis B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, TB, and Flu)
