Job summary

Britt Medical seeks a BE/BC Emergency Medicine physician or Family/Internal Medicine physician with Emergency Medicine experience to join a hospital-employed team in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. You will provide services in a 26-bed Emergency Department supported by a strong team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

The role involves coordinating patient transfers to a level 1 trauma center and utilizing resources like Telestroke support. The community offers a family-friendly environment with an affordable cost of living and access to outdoor recreation, lakes, and rivers.

Qualifications

• Experienced in Emergency Medicine or Family/Internal Medicine with a focus on Emergency Medicine.
• Strong team collaboration skills in a hospital environment.
• Ability to manage patient transfers to trauma centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Medicine services in a 26-bed ED.
• Work within a hospital-employed model with strong support.
• Collaborate with a provider team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver full-scope services including General Surgery and Pediatrics.
• Coordinate patient transfers to a trauma center in Greenville, NC.
• Engage with the community and promote local living.
• Utilize Telestroke support for emergent stroke care.
