Job summary

Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, Mississippi, is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our established program. You will provide high-quality care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with strong clinical support and access to advanced resources, equipment, and Cerner EMR.

The department features roughly 25,000 annual ED visits, Level III trauma, 24-hour physician coverage and 12-hour NP/PA support, with opportunities for teaching and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine is required.
• Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented emergency care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients presenting with a broad range of acute conditions
• Perform patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning
• Stabilize and manage emergent and urgent medical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and specialists
• Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and quality standards
• Support patient safety and patient satisfaction initiatives
