Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for its Detroit Lakes location, offering 1.0 FTE with 11 shifts/month and an annual volume of 13,000-14,000 patient visits. The role includes 12-hour shifts covering a level III Trauma Center, with a generous compensation package that includes paid malpractice insurance and relocation benefits.

The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine, bringing leadership to a collegial team. Additional certifications such as ACLS and PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with additional training in Emergency Medicine.
• ACLS, ATLS/CALS, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour coverage with 12-hour shifts.
• Manage an average of 16-18 patients per day.
• Lead a team-oriented department with 4 physicians.
