Bayhealth Medical Center is Central and Southern Delaware’s healthcare leader with hospitals in Dover and Milford, a stand-alone Emergency Department in Smyrna and a hybrid Emergency Department and Urgent Care in Milton.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME Emergency Medicine Residency Program; Internal Medicine Residency will be considered with previous ED experience
• Unrestricted Delaware Licensure is required
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• DEA license and Controlled Substances Registration (CSR)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages arriving to the emergency department
• Resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments
• Collaborate with physicians of other specialties and ED staff
• Evaluate a wide variety of ailments with potentially limited information
• Think and act quickly to determine the appropriate course of treatment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages arriving to the emergency department.
• Resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments.
• Collaborate with physicians of other specialties as well as other members of the emergency department staff.
• Evaluate a wide variety of ailments, sometimes with little to no information.
• Must have the ability to think and act quickly to make a tentative diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor or Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Completion of an ACGME Emergency Medicine Residency Program; Internal Medicine Residency will be considered with previous ED experience
  
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Appropriate and unrestricted Delaware Licensure
• DEA & CSR
