Qualifications

• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience in IM/FM with Emergency Medicine is acceptable.
• Must hold additional certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nurse leadership to manage the ED and improve care.
• Contribute to committees focused on pediatric care, vulnerable patients, and more.

Skills

Board-certified/Board-eligible Emergency Medicine certification

IM/FM trained with Emergency Medicine experience

PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications

Local Team Collaboration

• At Olympic Medical Center, our collaborative Emergency Medicine team is comprised of 9 physician FTEs and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.
• Our model consists of 36 hours per day of physician coverage and 24 hours per day of APP coverage.
• Level 3 trauma, 67-bed acute care hospital.
• 21-bed Emergency Department.
• Annual volume of 29,500.
• 10 ICU licensed beds.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/Board‑eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) certification.
• IM/FM trained with Emergency Medicine experience will be considered.
• Additional certifications required: PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

• Flexible scheduling of 12‑hour shifts.
• Full‑time is 120 hours per month. Part‑time and PRN options available.

Key Responsibilities

• We actively collaborate with nurse leadership to collectively “own” the ED, consistently striving to improve patient care and ensuring we are attentive to those requiring our services.
• We actively contribute to various committees, including the pediatric committee, the vulnerable patients committee, the violent restraint workgroup, and the ED committee, and we are actively seeking to join additional committees.
