Ilocatum is partnering with a healthcare client to hire an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist for overnight care in a busy ED. You will evaluate, stabilize, and treat acute conditions, lead resuscitations, perform procedures, and coordinate care with nursing and specialists.

You will document thoroughly in the EMR, communicate with patients and families, and participate in quality and throughput initiatives during night shifts.

Formación

• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted state medical license.
• ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications are required or encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Provide overnight emergency care with rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment.
• Lead resuscitations and manage trauma, cardiac, respiratory and neurologic emergencies.
• Perform emergency procedures such as intubations, central lines and chest tubes.
• Coordinate care with ED staff, specialists, and ancillary teams to optimize throughput.
• Interpret diagnostics (labs, imaging, ECG) to guide decisions and disposition.
• Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation and communicate with patients’ families.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical protocol initiatives.

In this role, you will evaluate, stabilize, and treat a wide range of acute and critical conditions, lead resuscitations, perform emergency procedures, and coordinate care with specialists, nursing, and ancillary teams. You will also ensure accurate, timely documentation, support patient and family communication, and contribute to quality and throughput initiatives during night shifts.

• Provide overnight emergency care, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of acute and critical conditions.
• Lead resuscitations and manage trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and neurologic emergencies.
• Perform emergency procedures such as intubations, central lines, chest tubes, and bedside ultrasound-guided interventions.
• Collaborate with nursing, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate and optimize patient care and ED throughput.
• Interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and ECGs, to guide timely clinical decisions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and disposition.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical protocol initiatives within the emergency department.
