Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care at the freestanding emergency room in McAllen.
• Ensure seamless patient admissions to Rio Grande Regional Hospital when necessary.

Facility Information

Our freestanding emergency room in McAllen, TX is an extension of our main facility Rio Grande Regional Hospital. Affiliation with Rio Grande Regional Hospital makes direct admission when necessary to the hospital simple and seamless. We have 11 private treatment rooms, a highly specialized trauma room, on-site blood work, CT scan, ultrasound, and X-rays, and use Meditech EMR.
