Join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team in a well-supported Level III Trauma Center serving the Kennewick and greater Tri‑Cities region. We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to provide compassionate, evidence‑based care in a dynamic, fast‑paced emergency department.

9‑hour shifts: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Position Overview
- Team Structure: 6+ EM Physicians and 7.5+ EM APPs
- Coverage Model: 27 hours/day of physician coverage, 22 hours/day of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
- Level III Trauma Center, Annual ED Volume: 24,440
- 21‑bed Emergency Department, 6 Fast‑Track beds, 14 ICU beds
- Admission Rate: 10.8%
- Transfer Rate: 1.5%
Imaging & Diagnostics
CT in‑house, Ultrasound available, MRI on‑call overnight, Bedside ultrasound utilized by all EM physicians.
- Specialty Support Services: Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Obstetrics, and Podiatry
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: 1099 rate of $300 per hour. Paid malpractice coverage including tail coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered emergency medical care across a broad range of acute presentations.
- Respond to all floor codes, including neonatal resuscitation.
- Perform patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and initiate evidence‑based treatment plans.
- Utilize bedside ultrasound in alignment with department standards.
- Collaborate with EM APPs, hospitalists, specialists, and nursing staff to optimize patient flow and clinical outcomes.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine‑accredited residency program preferred.
- ABEM or AOBEM board‑certified/board‑eligible required.
- Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with substantial emergency medicine experience will be considered.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS & ATLS.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high‑acuity environment.
