Job summary

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a full-time Emergency Medicine specialist at our Gaithersburg Medical Center. This 0.8 FTE position (32 hours/week) offers competitive compensation and a collaborative environment with physicians across MAPMG.

Opportunity to practice patient-centered care in a dynamic setting, with overnights, holidays, and on-call duty supported by a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Licensed or able to obtain licenses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a dynamic clinical setting.
• Work overnights, holidays, and on-call duty with team support.
• Collaborate with an EM, family medicine, and hospitalist team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain high-quality, patient-focused care with clear communication and teamwork.
• 8–9 hour shifts; no Behavioral Health Observation.

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for a full-time specialist in Emergency Medicine at our Gaithersburg Medical Center.

Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties. MAPMG physicians use a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. What You Can Expect:

• This position is listed as a 0.8FTE, which is the equivalent of 32 hours per week and is reflected in the salary listed below
• Non-Traditional Emergency Medicine Opportunities
• Advanced Urgent Care or Urgent Care settings
• Collaborative mixed-specialty department, comprised of emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians working together and learning from each other

The starting annual salary for this position is $296,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, MAPMG offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
