Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries


• Perform advanced emergency procedures including endotracheal intubations, chest tube insertions, and central line placements


• Deliver critical care and resuscitation services for emergency patients requiring immediate intervention


• Manage diverse medical conditions across all age groups in a fast-paced emergency department setting


• Collaborate with mid-level providers and emergency department staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EHR system


• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and meet quarterly performance metrics


• Work rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, and weekends as part of the emergency medicine team

Job Requirements

• Board Certification: ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine) certification strongly preferred; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with extensive emergency medicine experience considered


• Experience: Minimum 3 years of emergency medicine experience with documented case logs (250+ cases within the past year)


• Medical License: Eligible for North Dakota medical licensure or currently licensed in North Dakota


• Required Certifications: Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support)


• Procedural Skills: Proficiency in emergency procedures including airway management, resuscitations, and life-saving interventions


• EHR Experience: Familiarity with electronic health records systems; Meditech experience a plus


• Personal Attributes: Compassionate bedside manner, adaptability in high-pressure situations, and excellent clinical decision-making skills

Compensation & Benefits

W2 Employee Option:

• Base hourly rate: $250/hour


• Quality bonus: $10/hour (paid quarterly)


• Annual compensation: Approximately $561,600 (based on 2,160 hours annually)


• Sign-on bonus: $50,000 (forgivable loan over 3 years)
