Job summary

Emcareers is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Mississippi. This assignment offers guaranteed hours, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to practice in a collaborative Emergency Department utilizing Epic EMR.

Ongoing assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week and minimum of 5 shifts per month, no call, and hospital-based ED operations with Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Active Mississippi medical license and Mississippi DEA with Schedules II (AHA)
• ATLS, PALS, and BLS required (BLS not required for EM board-certified physicians)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute and emergent conditions in the ED.
• Perform core Emergency Medicine procedures.
• Document patient encounters in Epic.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital teams.
