UHA University Health Associates seeks an experienced Emergency Medicine physician (MD or DO) for a full-time role in Fairmont, WV. The successful candidate will practice emergency medicine, participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and may travel to additional sites as needed.

The appointment is at Assistant/Associate/Professor or Professor rank, with ABEM board certification or WV eligibility and LICENSURE requirements to be met by appointment date.

Additional Job Description

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine seek a Full-time Emergency Medicine physician (MD or DO) qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate
Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Fairmont, WV at Fairmont Medical Center.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services atadditional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be
anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in the area of emergency medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an emergency medicine residency program, as well as an emergency medicine fellowship program. Successful candidates must be ABEM board certified, eligible in WV. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
