Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required.
• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, NCCPA qualification or master’s from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Detailed Patient Histories: Obtain comprehensive patient histories and document backgrounds for accurate diagnoses.
• Thorough Physical Examinations: Perform comprehensive exams to evaluate patients for admission.
• Emergency Care Expertise: Deliver expert care in emergency situations with timely interventions.
• Expert Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Execute bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with precision.
• Efficient Coordination of Tests and Consultations: Coordinate tests and specialist consultations for timely care.
• Implementation of Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clear communication.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as a strong advocate ensuring patient needs and preferences are met.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans.
• Preparation for Discharge: Prepare patients for discharge with post-discharge instructions.
• Continuous Learning and Improvement: Engage in ongoing education and apply best practices.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and residents.
• Community Health Improvement: Participate in outreach and health education initiatives.
