This role provides clinical coverage in the Emergency Department, improves capacity, monitors complex patients, and contributes to patient care and satisfaction.

Duties include direct patient care, taking histories, ordering tests, performing exams, documenting findings, patient education, and supporting fast-track and triage.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Obtain patient histories and document findings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as indicated.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatments.
• Support fast track and triage processes.
• Serve as a role model for advanced practice professionals through leadership, ethical decision-making and problem-solving.
