Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge – Morganton Emergency Medicine Facilities seeks a full‑time Emergency Department APP/NP to provide physician‑extender coverage for Morganton and Valdese EDs. Shifts include 3x10s for Morganton and 1x10 for Valdese, with Epic EMR and Level 3 trauma at Morganton.

About Morganton

Morganton lies in Burke County, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The city is surrounded by mountain peaks, rivers and lakes. The area is ideal for camping, hiking, fishing, mountain biking and kayaking.

In Morganton and the surrounding areas, there are several festivals, historic sites and wineries. Fine arts and regional crafts are abundant. Downtown, you’ll find local shops and restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and a nice movie theater. The Morganton Greenway System offers several access points with parking leading to miles of paved trails along the Catawba River for walking, jogging and biking.

Along with all that is available in Morganton, residents and visitors are also just a short drive away from other great cities in North Carolina, such as Asheville, Charlotte and Hickory. The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is less than 60 miles away.
