Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary patient and physician contact; facilitates access to the specialty team; ensures continuity of care.
• Provides clinical direction to nursing staff regarding continued patient care.
• Prescribes therapies across multiple care settings, including controlled medications as warranted.
• Coordinates complex care including pre-operative plans, discharge planning, and referrals.
• Orders and interprets procedures and tests to manage simple to complex conditions.
