Job summary

Delta Locum Tenens seeks an Emergency Medicine physician for inpatient coverage in Central Louisiana. The assignment runs in April, with 6-8 shifts per rotation and shift times including 6a-6p and 6p-6a, as well as 7a-7p and 7p-7a.

You will work in a 40-bed ED with Epic EMR, handling approximately 48,000 annual visits and a 2 patient per hour volume, with scribe support and travel/credentialing assistance plus malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Active LA State Medical License required.
• DEA and CSR must be current.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in ABEM required; residency in EM.
• ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Emergency Medicine coverage in a Central Louisiana ED.
• Deliver standard ER care and coordinate with APPs and hospital staff.
• Assist with travel arrangements and credentialing support as provided by Delta Locum Tenens.
