Job summary

OHSU's Department of Emergency Medicine in Portland, OR seeks a new Assistant Professor to join its faculty. The role encompasses clinical duties in the ED, teaching medical students and residents, and contributing to ongoing research and quality assurance activities.

The appointee will deliver patient care in the ED and associated units, participate in education and departmental governance, and report to the Department Chair.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Emergency Medicine Residency Certificate required.
• Knowledge, training and experience in clinical and academic Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Act as an attending physician in the Emergency Department, including ED observation unit and Pediatric ED as assigned by the Chair.
• Participate in education of medical and paramedic students, house staff and nurses; participate in ED quality assurance activities; provide online medical consultation.
