Job summary

TeamHealth is expanding its emergency department team at Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Arizona. The physician assistant will deliver acute care in the ED with the support of an experienced nursing staff, treating patients from pediatric to geriatric with a focus on timely evaluation and safe disposition in a high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates hold Arizona PA licensure with ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications, ED experience preferred, and are comfortable collaborating with

• Active Arizona PA license and current licensure in good standing.
• Emergency medicine experience preferred.
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED patient evaluations, orders, and management in 12-hour shifts.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, EMS, and specialists to coordinate care.

Advance your emergency medicine career with TeamHealth! We have an opportunity for a physician assistant to join our emergency department team at Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Arizona. This facility supports an annual ED volume of 20,000 and provides coverage in 12-hour shifts. There is a hospitalist program in place, and an admit rate of 15%. The EMR utilized within this facility is MedHost. Additional features of this site include helicopter service and EMS base station with a transfer rate of 3%. In this role you will see a patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric with the support of an experienced nursing staff. Specialty back up includes cath lab, GI, cardiology, neurology, OB/Gyn, ortho, peds, psych, and urology. If you have experience in EM as a PA with ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications, you will make a great addition to our team.
