Job summary

Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe seeks an EMS professional to provide pre-hospital care and emergency medical treatment before hospital transport. You will perform patient assessments, determine level of care, and maintain detailed records.

Responsibilities include conducting alcohol and drug testing, data entry, and equipment management. The role requires EMT certification, a valid MN driver’s license, and the ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and EMT certification.
• Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements.
• Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for all Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe positions.
• Must have knowledge of local, state and federal EMS regulations and guidelines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and determine level of care.
• Perform EMS duties and run-sheets for all patients.
• Maintain equipment, records, and confidentiality.
• Conduct alcohol and drug testing while ensuring integrity and privacy.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
