Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center, a Prime Healthcare facility in Anaheim, CA, seeks a part-time Emergency Medical Technician for night shifts in the ED. You will assess and manage medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under supervision and assist with patient care to maintain a safe environment.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, Basic EMT training or ER experience, and current BLS; ACLS and PALS certificates and state EMT licensure are also expected.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• 1. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 2. Current PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
