Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician for full-time night shifts (5pm-5:30am or 7pm-7:30am). The role includes safety-focused patient transport in the MICU and collaboration with the Transport Nurse or Flight Paramedic.

Three holidays per year and a $2,500 sign-on bonus are included. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and EMT certification; experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

Work as a member of a high functioning team who provides care to a wide range of ill and injured patients. Ensure transportation for the team on ground missions by verifying proper working order and providing safe operation of Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulance.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of patient care and medical equipment.
  • Performs routine equipment function tests and calibrations.
  • Assists with the inventory of supplies and equipment ensuring adequate supply levels.
  • Supports and assists with the delivery of patient care, under the direction of the Transport Nurse or Flight Paramedic.
  • Operate MICU in a safe and effective manner.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Supervisor Experience
  • No Experience
Licenses & Certifications
  • Class D (IL) or Class E (MO)
  • EMT - applicable state
Experience
Preferred Requirements
  • 2-5 years
