Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Hunter’s Ambulance Service in Meriden is seeking EMTs to join our emergency medical services network. You will respond to dispatches, operate emergency vehicles, and ensure equipment readiness while delivering high-quality patient care.

The role requires CT EMT certification, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license, with opportunities for career growth and ongoing training within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• CT EMT certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to instructions from emergency medical dispatchers and perform assignments promptly.
• Operate emergency vehicles in accordance with regulations and company policy.
• Stock and restock medical supplies and equipment and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Provide accurate written communication on patient disposition.
• Conduct patient assessment, treatment and transport within applicable regulations.

Hunter’s Ambulance Service is a licensed commercial ambulance company owned and operated by Hartford HealthCare Emergency Medical Services. Your Impact

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED


• Current State of Connecticut EMT Certification in good standing.


• Current American Heart Association CPR or the ability to obtain and maintain an American Heart Association CPR Certification within 30 days of hire.


• Valid Driver’s License and an excellent driving record.
