Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of the CMTS leadership team and supervisory staff, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will provide safe and effective ambulance-based medical care at the basic life support level. They will respond to requests for ambulance transport of patients between healthcare facilities and other locations, and respond to requests for emergency medical services.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Currently certified and in good standing as an EMT by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Public Health (DPH), Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS)
  • Current BLS / CPR healthcare provider certification
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Satisfactory Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check
