Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to provide primary BLS Life Support care, evaluating and stabilizing critically ill and injured patients during transport. Work closely with physicians and nursing staff to relay patient information on arrival or prior to transport.

The role includes patient assessment, vital signs, monitoring, and documentation, with responsibilities for equipment maintenance, daily cleaning, and safety-focused practices within a High Reliability

Qualifications

  • Splint application.
  • Administration of EMT level medications.
  • Knowledge of equipment and protocols.
  • Understanding of scope of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform primary EMT responsibilities: patient assessment, vital signs, monitoring and diagnostics, patient moving/lifting, and medication administration.
  • Maintain ambulances/equipment, ensure proper working order.
  • Daily cleaning including weekly disinfecting of ambulances/equipment and station.
  • Produce accurate report writing and documentation.
