East Houston Medical Center’s Baytown facility is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians to support emergency response, patient movement, clinical readiness, and operational flow. EMTs play a key role in helping the facility respond quickly and safely to patient needs.

About the Role

This role supports nurses, providers, respiratory therapy, security, and ancillary departments through hands‑on assistance, transport support, basic life support readiness, and department coordination. The ideal EMT is alert, dependable, physically capable, and comfortable in a busy healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, vital signs, basic clinical support, and patient movement within EMT scope.
• Respond to emergency situations, codes, rapid responses, and requests for immediate assistance.
• Support safe transport of patients between departments, rooms, imaging, procedures, and discharge areas.
• Maintain readiness of stretchers, wheelchairs, emergency equipment, transport equipment, and assigned work areas.
• Communicate patient concerns, safety risks, or condition changes to licensed clinical staff.
• Assist with room turnover, supply restocking, specimen transport, and emergency department throughput as assigned.
• Follow infection prevention, patient identification, lifting, and safety procedures.

Scheduling and Availability
