Hagerty Consulting, Inc. is seeking Emergency Management Specialists to join our Response Cadre on an on-call basis. Candidates must be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours and stay on-site for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities include coordinating with agencies and ESFs, producing leadership-ready summaries, and researching complex issues for deployment missions. This is not a full-time staff position; look for Hagerty’s other postings for ongoing roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• At least five years of professional emergency management experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• NIMS ICS All-Hazards training courses or credentials.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of Hagerty’s Response Cadre to support client incident objectives.

Position Summary:

As Hagerty grows, we continue to look for talented professionals from a variety of backgrounds to provide holistic solutions to our clients. Currently, we are seeking Emergency Management Specialists to serve on an on-call basis as members of our firm’s Response Cadre. Candidates for these response missions must be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notice and remain on-site for at least 30 days. During an activation, Emergency Management Specialists will work to support the successful completion of our client’s incident objectives and coordinate with various partner agencies and Emergency Support Functions (ESFs).

Responsibilities of the Emergency Management Specialist: Response Cadre Include:

• Willing and able to be on-call for travel within 24 to 72 hours of notice and to remain deployed for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States.
• An understanding of the emergency management system and how jurisdictions coordinate together during large-scale incidents.
• The ability to provide summary products for leadership.
• Researching complex issues and presenting outcomes and insights to a supervisor or large audience.
• Implementing incident objectives with a diverse set of agencies and stakeholders.
• The ability able to remain calm and poised under pressure, work successfully on multiple priorities simultaneously, and remain focused when working under tight deadlines.

Qualifications of the Emergency Management Specialists: Response Cadre Include:

• A bachelor’s degree or a higher level degree.
• At least five (5) years of professional experience in emergency management or a related field.
• The ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on the client’s operational tempo.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint).
• National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials.

Compensation for the Emergency Management Specialists: Response Cadre Includes

• Salary Range of $70,000-$110,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
• Comprehensive benefits program including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending accounts (FSA) for health and transit/parking, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, sick leave, and more.
