The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency management, planning, building partnerships, an understanding of FEMA programs, and experience working as an embedded program or component representative coordinating with emergency management organizations. Candidates will also have experience providing programmatic technical assistance to state or local organizations, knowledge of federal authorities, and experience leading integrated coordination across organizations. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

1. Planning, building partnerships, coordinating, or working as an embedded program or component representative within an organization; and
2. Leading or providing on-site program coordination and technical support for disaster planning, exercises, and program oversight; and
3. Advocating for program delivery, partner integration, and information management.
