The role supports the Emergency Response Framework, maintains EOC readiness, and serves on the Incident Management Team. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required with five years of practical experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in emergency management, public administration, or related field; five years equivalent experience accepted.
• Completion of FEMA, NIMS courses and ICS levels 100–800; IAEM CEM or pursuing certification within one year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for emergency management programs and initiatives to strengthen preparedness and resilience.
• Coordinate with university leadership, public safety agencies, and external partners to develop and improve emergency plans and business continuity.
• Support Emergency Operations Center readiness, participate in incident management, and contribute to after-action improvements.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call responsibilities and coordinate activities before, during, and after emergencies.
