The City of Memphis is seeking a qualified Emergency Management professional to oversee emergency/disaster operations under the OEM Manager, coordinating prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery across mission areas.

The role leads a team of Emergency Management Specialists, provides work direction, and interfaces with schools, businesses and agencies to implement all-hazards preparedness. On-call availability and extensive training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Eight years in emergency management or firefighting activities or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibilities of OEM Manager as necessary.
• Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) as assigned.
