Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting is seeking a Logistics Section Chief to lead incident logistics, including facilities, services, and material, during disaster response. The role supports IAP development and directs the Logistics Section’s branches, coordinating with ESF-7/11, National Guard, and NGOs to ensure timely, compliant resource provisioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Experience with Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels.
  • Experience with financial management applications.
  • Experience in Emergency Operations Center or disaster response with at least 2 activations/exercises in a supervisory or key support role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Complete IS-100, IS-200, IS-300, IS-400, IS-700, IS-800, E/G/L-0191, E/L-0958, O-0305 trainings prior to task book.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with SLRC to prioritize support requirements and identify hardest-hit counties.
  • Collaborate with ESF-6 and NGOs to deploy field kitchens and cantinas.
  • Secure land/buildings for staging areas and warehouses as needed.
  • Coordinate with ESF-11 to project and procure food, water, and ice.
  • Work with National Guard to support LSA operations.
  • Assist on project portions per contract scope and timeline.
  • Attend client meetings and conference calls; ensure policy compliance.
