Job summary

Upstate Veterinary Specialties in Latham, NY 12110 is seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join the day shift Emergency team. The role offers opportunities to grow skills in a fast-paced environment and directly support life-saving care for animals in need.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in New York or eligible for licensure.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred (ER experience a plus, but not required).
• Interest in emergency and critical care medicine.
• Strong technical, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for emergency and critical care patients.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals; administer treatments and medications.
• Assist with emergency surgeries, procedures, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate closely with veterinarians and fellow technicians.

Day Shift Schedule Options

• Option 1: Sunday–Tuesday + every other Wednesday
• Option 2: Thursday–Saturday + every other Wednesday

Hours: 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM
