MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon / Surgicalist to join our team at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center in Columbia, SC. This role focuses exclusively on emergency and acute surgical care within a hospital setting, offering an excellent quality of life working with highly trained physicians and support staff.

Located in the heart of Columbia, the center combines MUSC Health resources with a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
• Must hold a valid unrestricted South Carolina Medical License.
• Strong clinical, surgical, and patient communication skills.
• Experience with minimally invasive techniques preferred.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and acute surgical care in a hospital setting.
• Collaborate with on-site multidisciplinary team for patient care.
• Assist with block OR scheduling and robust OR support.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
