Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
• One year of experience in hospital, morgue or ambulance service moving or transporting patients or decedents.
• Valid California Class C Driver License required for job-related duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive County vehicle to locations throughout the County to recover and transport bodies, specimens, or records to the Medical Examiner's facility.
• Maintain vehicles in good operating condition and ensure required supplies are stocked.
• Recover, lift, and transport bodies to the Medical Examiner's facility or other designated locations.
• Handle physical evidence and related data entry in the Medical Examiner's computer system.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate of Science degree or higher in Administration of Justice / Health / Nursing
