Job summary

Valleywise Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse to join our fast-paced team in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform rapid assessments, initiate critical interventions, and stabilize patients in a high-pressure environment on the PM shift.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience, plus an AZ RN license or equivalent. BLS is required, with unit-specific certifications pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Must have 1+ year of acute care RN experience or Valleywise Health New Grad RN program with Valleywise Health RN experience.
• Must maintain valid AZ RN license, AZ temporary license, or compact license.
• BLS certification required; additional area-specific certifications may be required within 90 days to 12 months depending on unit.
• Knowledge and adherence to EMR/documentation standards expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessments and stabilizing interventions for emergency patients.
• Deliver high-quality, life-saving care in a fast-paced, high-pressure ED.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient care planning and execution.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification as required by area of practice.
• On PM shift, maintain adherence to shift differential policies and patient safety protocols.
