Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Macungie. This part-time, day-shift position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and involves direct patient care, assessment, and coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating care, educating patients and families, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives in a fast-paced ER setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Coordinates and provides patient and family education throughout treatment course to facilitate an effective transition of care.
• Demonstrates leadership and team building skills including mentoring and precepting new colleagues and interns.
• Participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice per unit and organizational goals.
