Job summary

MUSC Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse I to deliver individualized, goal-directed patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Under general supervision, you will collaborate with the health care team, using the nursing process to provide safe, effective care and to support families and patients.

Minimum education includes an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• PALS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using nursing process.
• Collaborate with health care team to deliver safe, effective care.
• Support families and patients in the emergency department setting.
