St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital in The Woodlands, TX, seeks an Emergency Room RN to provide compassionate, high-quality care and perform critical assessments in a fast-paced ED.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, implement patient care plans, and contribute to positive patient outcomes while pursuing professional growth. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is eligible for the role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• TX RN license required upon hire.
• BLS/CPR within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assessment: admission and ongoing assessment; notify changes to doctor.
• Planning: design and document plan of care and discharge needs.
• Implementation: prepare patients, report changes, follow safety protocols.
• Evaluation: reassess and adjust care as needed.
• Report Skills: deliver Bedside Shift Report for continuity of care.

• ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assessment: Does admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition. Provides nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Notifies doctor of changes in assessment that require attention.
• Planning: Designs, directs, evaluates, and documents the plan of care, patient/family teaching and the transition of care plan to include a safe appropriate level of care discharge. Works with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulates a plan of care and daily goals that takes into consideration the individualized needs of the patient.
• Implementation: Prepares patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies to help reduce patient anxiety. Knows patients' conditions and reports significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader, and/or physician. Implements patient safety initiative and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, consult notifications.
• Evaluation: Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals following interventions. Notifies physician as necessary to modify interventions. Adjusts nursing care to meet patient's emerging and changing needs.
• Report Skills: Gives and receives report using Bedside Shift Report including family participation. Provides an accurate and comprehensive report to the oncoming shift to help establish continuity of patient care.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate of Science Nursing or above
• At least one (1) year of RN experience
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months

The hospital has been recognized as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, and is proud to serve as the clinical home for the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center. The hospital was awarded an “A” hospital safety grade by The Leapfrog Group in both 2023 and 2025. Clinical services provided include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level III nurseries), surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorder services.

Pay Range

$35.45 - $55.36 /hour
