Job summary

Truman Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Emergency Department team. In this part-time role, you will provide hands-on patient care, assist nurses, and support fast-paced, high-quality clinical operations.

You will complete training, maintain BCLS certification, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver compassionate care during evening and overnight shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM). This is a 24-hour weekly schedule with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BCLS certification required when hired and kept current for employment.
• UAP training or equivalent regulatory competency required; or approved alternatives as defined by Nursing Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to patients in an acute care setting.
• Demonstrate and develop technical nursing support skills through formal training.
• Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Perform duties aligned with high standards and mission to provide excellent healthcare.
