MaineHealth's Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, ME is seeking a Nursing Unit Secretary to join the Emergency Department team. In this fast-paced clerical role, you will provide essential support to clinical staff and help ensure timely, coordinated patient care.

You will act as a central point of communication, assisting with patient flow, answering phones, coordinating information, entering orders, maintaining records, and supporting the care team during urgent and emergent situations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
• Experience: One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central communication hub for the Emergency Department to support clinical staff.
• Assist with patient flow, answer phones, coordinate information, enter orders, maintain records, and support care team during urgent situations.
