Job summary

John Muir Health's Emergency Services Department seeks an ED Technician to assist in patient care and environmental maintenance under supervision. This role supports ED personnel and maintains a safe, clean, well-supplied department.

The technician may help with phones, order entry, and other unit support activities alongside trained staff. Requires BLS, and appropriate EMT/CNA/Paramedic licensure at hire as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year healthcare experience in emergency department setting preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire.
• EMT, CNA, or Paramedic licensure/certification required at time of hire when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED staff with patient care under supervision.
• Support Unit Secretary/Charge Nurse with phones, order entry, and other unit tasks.
