Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Emergency Department Technician. This position is on-site in Norfolk, Virginia. Position Status: Full-time (36 hours a week), night shift. Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Emergency Department. Standard Working Hours: Night Shift - 7:00PM - 7:00AM. Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse. De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
Previous clinical experience.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
